Drywall partition calculator (C112)
Online drywall partition calculation: studs, boards, fixings and filler for a C112 partition — single frame, double-layer board on both sides.
What is a C112 partition
C112 is a drywall partition on a single metal frame with two layers of gypsum board on each side. The frame is made of track profiles along the floor and ceiling and studs at 600 mm centres; the cavity is filled with mineral acoustic insulation.
The partition thickness is set by the profile width — 50, 75 or 100 mm. The whole partition is 50 mm thicker: two 12.5 mm boards on each side.
The calculator works out profiles, boards, screws, anchors, sealing tape, joint filler, joint tape and primer for the partition area, plus tools for the crew.
How consumption is calculated
Choose the partition thickness: it sets the size of the profiles and the sealing tape. The running metres of profile per 1 m² depend on the stud spacing, so they stay the same, as do boards, fixings and filler.
Material consumption is the rate per 1 m² of partition multiplied by the stage area: layout, frame, first and second board layer, joint filling. Tools are counted per crew unit and multiplied by the number of units.
Maximum height, sound insulation and fire rating differ between thicknesses. That is a design choice — the calculator only works out consumption.
